I assess the specific requirements of the assets and any workflow requirements for the client’s team to create a tailored solution that optimizes space efficiently.
Using SketchUp 3D rendering software, I develop detailed models that accurately depict the room, necessary storage furniture, and the arrangement of the client’s assets.
The process is flexible, and I can collaborate with you in-person or remotely to develop a range of options for consideration.
As the space usage evolves, the storage design model can be revisited to reassess the layout and discover new ways to optimize the space.

Museum Warehouse
A prominent museum on the U.S. East Coast sought to expand its public viewing areas by relocating its storage to an off-site facility. They required a 13,000 square foot (1,208 square meter) warehouse equipped with offices, workspace, preparation room, and storage for a range of assets.

Asian Archive
An Asian archive institution needed to relocate its onsite collection and consolidate inventory stored at other storage locations. The client wanted to reuse existing cabinets and shelves, as well as new pallet and painting racks. The archivist team would also need daily access to the collection to work within the rooms. This necessitated a 2,050 square foot (190 square meter) climate-controlled room and a 1,160 square foot (108 square meter) low humidity storage room.
I modeled their existing cabinets and shelves, intergrating them into their final design so they could fully grasp how their new space would look.

Paper and Book Archive
An international paper and book archive needed to relocate its collection and the archivist team who worked with it daily out of their current building. This move necessitated a 10,500 square foot (975 square meter) climate-controlled room and a 3,500 square foot (325 square meter) cold storage room.

Consolidation and Asset Planning
An artist studio needed to relocate a portion of its minimally used collection and consolidate into as small a room as possible, while still allowing limited access. We identified that this collection required at minimum a 2,400 square foot room.
Going an extra step, I assessed their assets for ways in which the space could be made more accessible, or capable of receiving more assets in the future should they decide to dispose of or relocate items.
Through assessment of their assets I color coded and labeled each it to identify empty crates, assets that could be relocated, and a crate that was scheduled for departure.

Full Warehouse Design
Developed a comprehensive warehouse layout and high-density racking configuration for a new facility. To facilitate stakeholder buy-in, the project featured custom 3D renderings designed with a modular approach. This allowed for "exploded view" visualizations of individual rooms, enabling the client to present tailored storage solutions to their specific high-value accounts.
